From minis to U16s, our youth squads fill the pitches and clubhouse every Sunday with the kind of buzz only grassroots rugby can bring. It’s fun, fierce, and foundational — with lifelong skills forged alongside friendships and bacon butties.
Led by our army of RFU-qualified, DBS-checked coaches, we welcome players of all experience levels. Game time is guaranteed, and every child gets the support they need to grow — in confidence, skills, and love for the sport.

Formed three years ago, this hugely impressive group of ladies develop week on week through their Thursday training sessions, with fixtures played on Sunday afternoons . Any ladies looking to get involved, keep fit and be part of an amazing social group are very welcome.

RFU Club Accreditation achieved by CIRUFC
Club rugby lies at the heart of rugby in England. It is where the game is played in huge numbers and it is the environment that the RFU Development Department is committed to supporting by ‘strengthening clubs and growing the game in the communities around them’.
As a club we have shown our commitment and completed the RFU Club Accreditation process. The process has helped us to become stronger, more effective, more efficient and is making Canvey Rugby Club a more enjoyable place in which to play rugby. The framework the scheme provides helps us review what we are doing, how we do it, and where we can improve.
Although a challenging process it has allowed our club to exhibit all that is good about rugby in our adult sections, mini and youth, women and girls and touch rugby, while demonstrating that this is all achieved in a friendly, welcoming environment.
RFU Club Accreditation will bring many advantages for us. Including the Sport England Clubmark for your mini and youth section. It gives us credibility with local authorities and educational establishments and confer the status of the RFU brand to attract potential sponsors.
